Photo guidelines:

All photos must be taken within the week of Aug 12-18, 2007 Spend a day, several days, a few hours. It is up to the photographer.

You may use any kind of camera you’d like, but all images must be submitted on line through this website. Images should be at least 6 mega-pixels although images submitted to the website should be lo-res.

If you are shooting film you will either need to have a cd made or scan your prints in order to submit .

You may submit up to 24 images.

All images must be submitted by Sept .18, 2007

All photos must be taken in Red Hook Brooklyn. For purposes of this project, Red Hook is bordered by Hamilton Av to the north, the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to the east, the Gowanus Canal , and Erie Basin to the south, and the New York Harbor to the west.

Keep track of who, what, why, when, where. If you are photographing people try to get names and contact numbers, If you think you will need releases let us know. ( a good idea o get them when you can)

Any photographs submitted may be displayed on the website and/or in exhibit venues in Red Hook through December 2007. Photographers will retain all other rights to the photographs will be credited on the website and at the exhibits. (for a rights agreement, please email us)

Judgement of Submissions

Whats the Hook? has the right to remove and disqualify any entries that, in its sole descretion and judgement are inappropriate for any reason.
